White opal planet over a blue nebula

Lovely depth to this one, with a swirling blue nebula over which hovers a white Gilson opal planet with fire of blue & green. The marble is just under 42mm/1.65 inches.
The nebula is a real 3D effect using my own 'recipe' of silver fume & coloured glass. For my marbles I use high quality laboratory grade borosilicate (often known by the 'Pyrex' trade name) which is ultra clear to help create lenses & the optical illusion of space and distance. The Gilson opals I use are created over 12-24 months in a laboratory using the same minerals as natural opals, but have no water content so are safe to encase in glass where they make wonderful ethereal looking planets. As this is handmade glass there may be some surface imperfections and/or bubbles in the glass
