Classic spiral galaxy marble, with a spiral of glittering 'stars' with hints of pink, green, gold and white made with dichoic glass which sparkles as its moved. Into this I've added a light layer of pale blue to help define the spiral & add the illusion of interplanetary dust & gases.
Behind the spiral I've added whisps of blues and greens to create a distant nebula, and on the back of the marble I've used a high silver glass which creates tones of greens.
The marble is around 39mm/1.53 inches across (38mm top to bottom) There is a very slight flattened bottom where the final punty rod was removed. For my marbles I use high quality laboratory grade borosilicate (often known by the 'Pyrex' trade name) which is ultra clear to help create lenses & the optical illusion of space and distance. As this is handmade glass there may be some surface imperfections and/or bubbles in the glass
