Gold vortex marble

Optical illusion marble that looks deeper than it is! Hard to really show the illusion well in photos, this has a real 'bling' factor from using a higher quality & thicker than usual dichroic which makes a bright gold sparkle with very few white areas. If you move this in the light it can shift between pale gold green to gold then orange gold. This I have formed into a corkscrew that travels down inside the marble, its one that has to be seen and held in real life! A simple black backing with a dark pearlescent spiral finishes this off, although this does have a few flat spots on the bottom where I took it off the punty rod. Includes a free acrylic stand.
The marble is around 42mm/1.68 inches across. For my marbles I use high quality laboratory grade borosilicate (often known by the 'Pyrex' trade name) which is ultra clear to help create lenses & the optical illusion of space and distance. As this is handmade glass there may be some surface imperfections and/or bubbles in the glass
