Blue vortex marble

Optical illusion marble that looks deeper than it is! Hard to really show the illusion well in photos. Inside I have formed a corkscrew of multicoloured dichroic glass. This sparkles with metallic golds to coppers, with shifts of electric blues to emerald greens. This spirals down inside the marble giving the illusion that its deeper than it really is - tits one that has to be seen and held in real life! This is finished off on the back with a turquoise blue pearlescent spiral over a very dark transparent blue which looks almost black un til help up in the light. Includes a free acrylic stand.
The marble is around 40mm/1.58 inches across. For my marbles I use high quality laboratory grade borosilicate (often known by the 'Pyrex' trade name) which is ultra clear to help create lenses & the optical illusion depth. As this is handmade glass there may be some surface imperfections and/or bubbles in the glass
